Giving my inner redneck some love tonight as Amy took me out on a romantic night at the Peterborough Speedway to watch local heroes turn left for a while. We didn’t stay all night, but stayed til at least 9pm and got to see Dan McHattie win the track championship again. Zoom!

The long weekend begins + sushi
I discovered sushi tonight – nothing fancy, just some stuff from Metro as provided by the missus, but it was pretty great. I’ve had it before a couple of times, oddly enough at Chinese food restaurants, but it only recently clicked with my tastebuds, possibly because I just ate it on its own without the […]
Cuddly Demanding Mister
Mister Sprite is a big demanding man child, and demands all of the pettings, post haste!
We need less stuff… and more ruff
Less stuff, more freedom. Not sure how to get there though. Gotta convince the missus to keep that in her head. So much stuff! Punky was indeed on the counter, as she has been 4 times today. And Brocky is adorable, as indicated below. Also Ginger is in the background, at least in spirit.

Amy is on fire, even after a weekend of fire
I’m very proud of Amy lately. While nutrition is still a bit of a sticking point, she has been much more active on her own lately, even after a weekend of lengthy walks. Even right now she is doing a lengthy Beachbody workout and enjoying the encouragement they offer! Go Amy!
The Hong Kong Buffet
It’s been a while, but we decided to eat here again. Decent, quiet service at a quiet time of the day. Good fundamentals, and they even had sushi that I actually enjoyed, so I might give it another shot at a Japanese restaurant in the future. I still think Chinese-Canadian restaurants don’t do chocolate well […]
Whirlwind camping trip to Ferris Provincial Park
This past weekend we enjoyed some time away from the grind at Ferris Provincial Park in Campbellford Ontario. It’s a wee little park with some lovely, leg-working trails that go all over. Our last couple of camping trips have ended on less fun notes, but we managed to go the whole weekend without family tragedy […]
